Garden or Garbage?
There was a gardener who loved every tree, every plant and every little shrub in his garden so dearly that he would store even dead leaves and withered branches in his backyard. He was so attached to them that he simply would not cast them away.
Gradually, all the space in his small garden was taken up by dead leaves and dry branches and the once beautiful garden soon looked more like a garbage heap.
Are we not - so many of us - like this gardener? We store worries and anxieties, failures and frustrations, fears and disappointments, which are better cast away and forgotten, and turn the beautiful garden of our life into a wasteland. Is your garden blooming with flowers or is it heaping with garbage?
